Potholder Weaving eBook: 7 patterns For 18 peg per side Hot Pad Loom
This collection of seven designs is made for potholder looms with 18 pegs per side. Cindwood Potholder Looms in 1/2 inch gauge were used for the samples. There are two types of patterns: 4 that are woven in the traditional way, where the color placement of the loops determines the patterns, and 3 that are small weavings, where only two colors are used and the number of "over and under" weaves determines the patterns. For these little weavings, directions are given row by row, and a large color chart is also provided. All of the patterns are set up to describe the two "sides" of the weaving process. The first is setting up the loops, running them across the loom to prepare them for weaving. This is Side 1, non-woven side in the patterns. The second "side" is the weaving portion of the potholder. Colors are given in the order they are used for both sides. A loop count is given to help you sort out your colors and plan your project.
In addition to the patterns, I have included a few tips and tricks to help your potholders turn out picture perfect.
My patterns are visually accessible. They are written in easy to read large print 24 point Arial font, with all black text on white background, single column format, no italics, and all directions fully written out. The patterns read clearly with read out loud and screen reader software. Images have alt text descriptions.
